Yellur is a village in Udupi District in the state of Karnataka in India.
Yellur & its surrounding places are currently being acquired by Nagarjuna Power Corporation to set up a coal-based thermal power station.
Yellur is a very beautiful, scenic, and picturesque place, containing lush green vegetation, forests, and fertile crop fields. Yellur has been overall protected from industrial development. However, many have expressed concern about the proposed Nagarjuna plant, as citizens feel that this would spoil the beauty and greenery of the village.
